JUREŠKO & BUNTAK Law Office Privacy Policy

With the entry into force of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), JUREŠKO & BUNTAK Law Office
has harmonized its operations by continuously making additional efforts to protect the personal data of our clients and other persons.

We collect your contact information based on e-mail correspondence with you when you, by sending an e-mail, consent to us using your email address, name, surname and other information that you have provided us with for the purpose of replying to your e-mails. Information on your other rights can be found below. Other personal data, such as that needed for invoicing, representation in court or before other authorities, at meetings, when drafting contracts, etc., we collect from you verbally and from the documentation you have provided us with, or by reviewing your documents.

a) Your fundamental personal data (name and surname, place of residence, personal identity number – OIB) and communication and contact data (physical address, email address, telephone);
b) Information required to pay for our services (name and surname, place of residence, OIB);
c) Any other information that you have provided us with for the purpose of representation in court, before other authorities, at meetings, drafting contracts, etc.

We collect and process personal data in accordance with the relevant legislation as in force. We collect and process personal data only:
a) If you have given us your consent to do so (which you can revoke at any time, except with regard to such data as is required by law to be kept by us);
b) If necessary for the conclusion and/or performance of a contract to which you are a party;
c) If the processing is necessary in order to comply with the legal obligations of the JUREŠKO & BUNTAK Joint Law Office;
d) If we are legally obliged (e.g. when issuing an invoice, responding to a complaint, or the like);
e) Processing is necessary to fulfill the obligations and exercising specific rights of the JUREŠKO & BUNTAK Law Office, or you as a data subject.

The processing of your personal data is carried out in a lawful, fair and transparent manner, and personal data is collected for the purpose of performing tasks for which you have authorized us or provided us with documentation for the purpose of providing legal advice and opinions, answering your inquiries and the like.

We keep the data collected based on your consent permanently, i.e. until you withdraw your consent. You have the right to inform us at any time on the withdrawal of your consent to us processing the personal data you have provided us with. In addition to withdrawing your consent, you may demand the erasure of your personal data and other rights under the General Data Protection Regulation. We are obliged to keep part of personal data in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Croatia as in force. Thus, for example, we are obliged to keep personal data on our file for 10 years from the date we ceased to of represent you. You have the right to be informed at any time as to why we cannot erase certain information. Upon the expiry of the data retention period, we erase personal data permanently or depersonalize it (make it anonymous) so that it can no longer be linked to you.

In the adjustment period afforded to us between the moment of adoption of the General Data Protection Regulation and the moment when it begins to apply, we have taken appropriate infrastructural, technical and organizational security measures to protect all personal data kept in our databases from loss and unauthorized access. All our cooperating institutions have been contractually bound to protect the personal data of our users. Also, each employee of the JUREŠKO & BUNTAK Law Office has undertaken to keep all personal data as a business secret.

Your data is processed by our employees: attorneys-at-law, legal trainees and clerical staff. Such personal data as is needed by us for invoicing is processed by our accounting service.

a) Right of access: you have the right to receive confirmation whether we process personal data relating to you and, if such personal data are processed, access to personal data and the following information: purpose of processing, categories of personal data in question, recipients of your personal data to whom such data have been disclosed, and the data retention period.
b) Right to rectification: you have the right to request and obtain correction of inaccurate personal data relating to you without undue delay.
c) Right to erasure: you have the right to request the erasure of personal data relating to you, which will be erased if the legal requirements are met, or if the conditions are not met you will be informed why such data cannot be erased.
d) Right to restriction of processing: you have the right to obtain a restriction on processing in cases specified in Article 18 of the General Data Protection Regulation .
e) Right to data portability: You have the right to receive personal data relating to you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and the right to transfer such data to another controller, if the processing of relevant is based on consent or on the need to fulfil a contract and is carried out by automated means.
f) Right to object: You have the right to object to the processing of personal data relating to you at any time based on your personal situation. Complaints are submitted via email to info@odvjetnickiured-juresko.hr with the reference “Objection to the processing of personal data”.
g) You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
